Cagle Mountain

There must be a billion white oaks on that mountain raining acorns. Absolutely the hardest place I have ever hunted. Have yet to figure out how to pattern the deer. Any suggestions?

Its hard to pattern deer in the mountains this time of year. When acorns are as plentlyful as they are this year the deer just dont have to move. That is one of the reasons I decided to sit out bow season this year. Alot of the acorns will rot pretty quick with the amount of rain we have got the last couple weeks. The best is yet to come.

I live 12 miles north of cagle my. And I've never seen so many acorns

I'm nowhere near Cagle, but acorns are dropping everywhere in the mountains here. The deer are moving very little.

I'm right in the middle of Cagle, and from the bottom of the mtn, to the top, I've never seen so many acorns, ever. Deer are moving thru each time I've been out tho, except one morning.

I live in Dunlap witch is the foot of cagle but dont hunt it. i hunt daus mnt and you roll your ankles walking there are so many acorns. most ive seen drop since ive been hunting lol. deer movement is slow there too. P.S. Daus is about 10min away from cagle.
