Cable clearance?

I have a bear element and am having problems with my cables. Since i've had the bow i've had to turn my knock to be able to clear my cables, which makes my fletch contact the drop away rest. Would it be safe to move my cables to the outside of my guard or is there another way to fix it?

Dang man... I had a Bear Element bow a couple years ago and had the same exact problem... I finally used a whisker Bicuit and turned the odd vane out....This was the only way I could get any clearance... I finally traded bows...

If the cable guard is not offset but straight where it cannot be rotated for clearance, take it to your local pro shop and get them to check it out. I have seen the cable slide cause problems due to incorrect installation or it may need to be replaced. Couldn't tell much about the cable guard or slide in the pics but it did show the clearance issues.
 
Absolutely don't move it to the other side of the cable slide or you MAY de-rail the cable off the module on the cam, which creates a whole other set of problems. May have to try a different cable slide that hugs the slide a little closer (assuming your center shot setting isn't the problem). Bear bows tend to tune a bit further out of center than most due to cam lean, so you really need to get it to a proshop and have them check it.
 
I'll take it to edgemore outdoors tomorrow. They're the closest shop to me i've never been there but hopefully they can fix it. I didn't use to worry about it but paper tuning it will show something isn't right, some shots will make bullet holes some will be way off and at longer ranges ill have great feeling shots miss completely. Thanks

If your rest is a fall away rest then chocolate chip cookie vane out would give you the best clearance (provided the fall away is timed correctly). If the rest is a prong style (I can't tell by the photo), chocolate chip cookie vane down would work better. If it is a solid launcher (as it appears to me), just play with the vane position, between up and to the left, until you can get clearance.

Or get a whisker biscuit and shoot chocolate chip cookie vane out. Or a rest with a side plate or berger button, and shoot chocolate chip cookie vane out.

A flatter cable slide may help. But you will need to try it first to know.
