I have been shopping for a Pontoon for a few weeks. Going to get one real soon. Went to C.O. Marine and the salesman there acted like he didn't want my business. He only answered questions and was very short. By that I mean I asked if he had any 20 footers, his reply was "yes". I then had to ask what motor was on it "60", color "don't know"

This was how the entire time went. He did not tell me anything that I didn't ask straight to him. He never offered to even show me the boat.

Did I catch him on a bad day or is this normal? I felt like he didn't think I could afford the boat. OK done venting

I've heard to steer clear of them.. Never had a personal experience there though..

There are many boat dealerships like this in my personal experience, and it's not just me. It is like you are hindering them although you, the customer, are paying their bills.

Ordered an Xpress through them one time. Acted like they were doing me a favor by selling me the boat. Then after first time on the water, all the paint came off the bottom. Had to send back to factory. Pain in the rear and without a boat for 3 months.

Went there years ago to by an aluminum boat with a jet outboard. I was told that there weren't any outboard jet motors available,...kept giving me the runaround! I knew this was false after to talking with other dealers. So 2 years after owning my alumacraft AWRR from Lawrenceburg Marine it was time for a new trolling motor. Thought I would give C&O another chance since they were close. I got a good price on a new MinnKota and purchased it from C&O. Two years later the motor began to give me trouble. It had a 3 year warranty. I took it to back to C&O, where it was purchased and the guy acted clueless and said that's how its supposed to work. After it sitting there for a week, I called for an update. I was told that a call was in to MinnKota, but no return call. I was told that I should come and pick it up. So I went and got my boat. I called minnkota and told them my problem with the troller and the authorized dealer. They said to send us the trolling motor. So I did. 3 days later I got a letter from MinnKota saying the problem I stated was verified plus another problem they found. 3 business days after that, I received a new trolling motor from MinnKota. I will never go back to C&O in whitebluff! MinnKota customer service was great!!

By far Renegade Marine in Leitchfield, KY is the best I've ever dealt with. I've dealt with C&O and won't again.

try the boat dealership at 4 corners, Percy Priest. If they give you a hard time, I personally know them, but I believe you will like them, I am not sure how many pontoons they keep around.

I have bought several boat parts from them, but never a boat. I will say that Carol has always been good to me and able to come up with a lot of hard to find parts for Javelin and stratos. My experiences are all with parts and none with boats however.
