if you are low on primers or anything else,,they are in stock most everywhere ,,I would highly advise everybody to stock enough for 5 years,,

prices will start up this winter and supplys will start to fall next spring,,by next November you wont be able to get small rifle primers for any price,,

call it whatever,,I remember paying 50$ a thousand for CCI 400 if you could find them,,Fed GMM were off the market,,I won`t get caught like that again,,

I made that same post on other gun forums and they pulled the posts. The people that run them think people are trying to start panic buying.

I didn't let the first shortage sneak up on me and I'm gonna pad my stock a little in the next few weeks. Gonna stock up on CCI Standard too.

Alright everybody, let the panic buying and hoarding begin!!!!

Yep!!!

it`s gonna happen,,might as well be stocked up on what you need,,it happens every 4 years,,

why if you know you shoot 2-3000 rounds a year and primers are 28$ would you wait until they are 60$ to buy them,,

What evidence are you seeing that primer prices will double? I realize fuel prices and lead have gone up which will increase the price of bullets and powder, most have already adjusted prices for this. But what exactly, besides "it happens every four years" , leads you to say prices will double. What else besides panic buying and hoarding led to the shortages of the past two years. Couldn't be Obama, he hasn't done anything that was predicted to create more gun control. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Well they are on the downhill slide so they shouldn't be eating up our ammo anymore. IMO you can blame the internet and the rumors it spreads like wildfire for the shortages which in turn lets the manufactures raise prices due to lack of supply and high demand. Personally I will keep buying as needed and expect to pay 10-20% more over the next year which isnt that much. Just cant believe if everybody remains calm prices will double for no apparent reason. Now if everybody runs out in the next month and buys ten times as much as they need that will create a shortage which in turn will double prices.

In response to the above post I, respectfully, reply that I'll take my chances and buy early. If it behooves others to sit and wait, so be it. History is life's best teacher and I've seen the lesson already....;)

last time I was in town about 6 months ago they were 29 a 1000,,they were 34 today,,

even if they dont go up because of the 4 year cycle thing like always,,you will probably never pay less for them than they are now,,
