Not a bit of the seed I planted germinated. I basically put out 750 pounds of turkey food.

I disked again and bought new seed from Ag. Services. Germination tested 7-07 at 85%.

The guy said it has been a problem this year after the freeze earlier in the Spring.

This time maybe it'll work.
 
To be honest this is the last attempt no matter what and I'm running short on time. It's going in the ground regardless. I might toss a few into the paper towel test and see what happens but the results won't change anything.
 
Rain is good, but that wasn't the issue here. The seed itself was bad. I got 0% germination when I tested it at home. It got plenty of rain.

10-4 Thats a real bummer to waste all that time ,effort,and gas.I hope if they know it was bad ??and You got some extra good seed to make up for it.
 
I bought the bad seed from a new source this year. Once I realized it was bad I bought new seed from where I usually go and they assured me the new stuff was tested in July of this year.

I'll be calling the other place this week to inform them they may have a bad batch and see what they say.
