So I went in around 1:00pm, moved my SPYPOINT camera to a different location because I wasn't getting anything recently.
go to another spot near a water source, figured they'd be thirsty in the heat today. As soon as I sit down, my SPYPOINT that I JUST moved at my fixed tree stand location goes off and there's two does and a buck behind them lol.
about 15 minutes passes, I hear crashing through the woods, three does with a nice buck trailing them running full speed through the woods. I get excited.
40 minutes or so later I hear something behind me, less than 20 yards. ( I'm ground hunting this spot with nothing but a ghillie suit, butt pad, and my bow ) I turn and there's an 8 point coming straight towards my tree. I watch him get around 10-12 feet from me and the wind shifts right into him. Needless to say he bounces out lol.
Awesome evening hunt today!! Didn't shoot anything but it's just what I needed to get that blood pumping for the rut!
