I'm looking at a Bushmaster with HBAR stamped .223/5.56 barrel. Someone give me the run down on good and bad with these zombie-killers.

Bushmaster is top of the line. Should be a good gun. Only way it could be any better is if it had the Pony on it.

your opinion. mine is that armalite is better than both and many others are as good. the bushmaster name adds $200.

Just after opinions, this will be my first foray into military type rifles. I think I can get it for about $700 with quad rails, ace stock,tri-rail gas block, hougue overmolded grip, oversized bolt latch and magpul iron sights. I think this is an okay deal, but like I said I'm not very familiar.

What's a good magazine, it just comes with one 10rd. What does a good magazine cost?

You wont go wrong with a Bushmaster, and that is a pretty good price. They will hold their value if you ever go to resale it.

I was pretty disapointed with the trigger on my HBAR, but there are plenty of aftermarket triggers out there to make it nicer. No problems since I changed that one thing.

sounds like a good deal.

Well, I went ahead and bought it. I will probably have lots of questions, Every other rifle I own is a bolt with the exception of 1 Marlin 336. Hope you guys don't mind a ton of questions, I have zero experience with the AR platform.

best thing I can tell you is to buy ammo by the case and use the 10 rd mag,,get you some 30`s but keep them in the wrapper,,LOL..

it is very easy for your average deer hunter to go from shooting 50 rounds a year to 5,000 rounds a year..
