I usually just use glyphosate at about 2 quarts An acre but with grass and grass weeds being our probably almost every fallow season I was thinking of adding 6-10 oz of clethodim with about 2 quarts per acre of glyphosate to help with the grasses, clethodim from what I can find doesn't have much of any soul residual to worry about when it comes time to plant like some others. Has anyone ever used this mixture?

I have used that also. But we don't really have a bad broadleaf problem that's a roundup doesn't kill. Another question I had is how long do you guys wait to spray after you have Bush hog or mowed your fields? I usually try to wait about a week or more but due to time constraints may not be able to this year. Should I still get the good kill?

Gly & Glu (Liberty) is what we used last year & will spray Thursday. 1.5 qt Gly, 1 qt Glu, 1 gallon AMS, 10 oz crop oil & 20 gal H2O per acre. Scorched earth & no residual. Best results sprayed between 10:00 & 4:00 when temps 90+.

I'd save the Clethodim unless you're spraying newly emerging grass that's no more than 2"-3" tall. I just sprayed tall crabgrass with 41% Glyphosate on Saturday and it was already starting to turn as of yesterday.

Normally I would do the same: wait a week or so to allow the weeds/grasses to regrow a little. But my last couple of plantings I sprayed the same day I mowed. Still got an excellent kill.
