It's been a good summer for predator hunting. Slowly helping the deer and turkey population.

Sure, I've got a lucky duck E caller I bought from a member here. I normally start with a cottontail distress for 2-3 minutes, give it a minute or 2 break then I do a bird or small rodent distress. After that I give it another minute or 2 then go into coyote calls. Different calls for different times of the year. This past weekend I did a lone mature male intimidation howl and got 2 separate groups real fired up but they stayed in the woods. I played a group challenge call that got one to come into me after that lone male howl. I don't spend more than 20 minutes in one spot.

My local adult coyotes in south MS are much smaller than my TN coyotes as well.
What do you think it is? More coyotes in the areas we talk about or something else? I don't see near as many on our farm in TN as I do the places I hunt in MS.

I bet fawn in distress would work now. What thermal?
Good call, forgot to add that one. I've tried it last 3 hunts and nothing came from the fawn distress. That doesn't mean it won't work in other areas though. I'm running a Nocpix S60R right now. I ran an AGM before. No complaints from either but the NOCPIX is double the resolution with ocular zoom so it's great for longer shots.
