What bullets do you use in your 45 cal muzzys. Ive got a cva hunterbolt 45. Used powerbelts for a while easy loading super accurate but didnt like the performance on game. Switched to the 180 hornady xtps with green sabot. Good performance almost impossible to load even in a clean gun actualy scares me bit to shoot and it deforms the bullets.

200gr XTPs
200gr SSTs
195gr Barnes
185gr Lehigh/Bloodline

Get some Harvester light blue 45x40 sabots. They will load much easier than the MMP/Hornady tan or green sabots. Those green sabots are likely old stock. Im pretty sure current stock are tan. The old 45x40 green sabots are also larger than current tan sabots....MUCH larger

I switched from power belts to 195 gr Barnes and using the light blue harvester sabot with 84 gr of blackhorn by weight and like this combination. Powerbelts were really accurate in my encore but lacked performance a few times in my case. The SST's shot well also and seemed to perform pretty good on a couple deer I used them on, but liked the barnes a little better.

Thanks guys ill i have to find me some of those harvester sabots. Thinking of trying them with the xtps i currently have.

I order mine from Midsouth Shooter when i order bullets because it can be hard to find 45 stuff on the shelf.

Make sure you get the ones that say"Easy Load" on the package because they are both blue. I got both just to try but liked the easy load the best in my Encore.
