So I am a reloader, and have loaded plenty of 300wsm. I run 150gr NBT usually, but I now have a 300 win mag. I believe the twist is 1:10. Y'all think I should run 180 or 200 gr? Looking for something a little different than the reliable 150 that I usually kill TN deer with. I have on hand 165 SGK, 180 NBT, 200 AB and I believe some 180 SSTs. What y'all think?

Some where I came across a chart that gives what is recommended for certain weights, calibers and twists. Maybe you do a search and find such a chart.

I've recently acquired a 300WM as well. I've been loading 150 NAB's in my 300WSM but have heard from several friends to go no lighter than 180 gr in the WM. They've also recommended 165's in the WSM as well, but I'm trying to consolidate my inventory somewhat, and use the 150's in my 06 and the WSM.

unless your bbl is bent it will shoot the 150 NBT and about 74 grs IMR4350 very well,,you dont need a WM for 150s but it will shoot them well,,

I usually load 180s for anything I have in 30 caliber. Most of the places I hunt are thick and seldom shoot over 100 - 150 yards. If I need to shoot long distances then I will drop to a smaller caliber with more velocity.
