Now that I've got the red dot mounted what's a good bullet for deer hunting with a Ruger Redhawk 44mag?

I'm seeing the Hornady XTP in 240 grain and 300. In my muzzleloader I shoot 240 but wondering what would be better here. Any opinions?

XTP did good in my 357.

Used the .45 cal 240 grain xtp mags for many years with great success from our muzzleloaders. Would not hesitate to use them for a handgun.

There was a 45 colt oad years ago of a 240 gr. XTP at around 1450 fps. May have been the Hornady manual.

I've had great results with both the Hornady 240 grain xtp and the Barnes 200 xpb.
