Bulk Lime

I'm doing a 5 acre plot that I need 11 tons of bulk lime. Anyone know who to contact to get it with a truck that can spread it for me? Also what price am I looking at for the lime and to spread it?

Talk to jmb4wd; he can deliver the lime and he has access to a buggy spreader - u'll have to get a quote from him on the price

That's what I thought too. We are only a couple of miles from them,that's why we were going to use them.

Ask Wartburg which one that does deliver is closest ? They may charge a little more if its a long ways, but they will go to neighboring counties to deliver. I pay about 23/25 per ton including delivery.My prob is I have some plots that they can't get to with the truck and no one around has a small spreader that works for bulk only pelletized. Best price I can find is for the little limer and its $2500. Can't juswtify that kind of money. Is there 10-12 people out there that want to go partners on one ? You will only need it once every year or so !
Or would you rent for $100 or so for a weekend if I bought one ?

We have the same problem with getting a truck in to some of our areas. We have a member with a dump truck that can haul it for us,but we don't have any way to spread it ourselves. We were going to use the co-op for the plots that we could get a truck to and a small pull behind for the others.
