has anyone bought from buds? thinking of ordering my next rifle from them, because they sure beat the heck out of my local dealers.

They may beat them on price..... but what will they do after the fact?
Would rather deal with the locals if possible, then should anything happen, you can take it back to them to deal with.... Plus, you do enough business and they remember you, might help down the road as well.

I bought 1 gun from them,and it was my first online gun transaction and it went super smooth.I picked one of Bud's prefered dealers to ship it to,and had the gun 3 days later.

I bought one from Buds also. They offer fast shipping and the best prices around. Even if you did have an issue with a rifle you could still pay to have it fixed and be money ahead. If they can sell for that much less the locals could do better also. Great place to deal with IMO. Ill def do business again.

I've bought several things from Buds and it's easy as pie. They communicate every step of the way and it's hard to beat their prices. I would rather buy locally and still price things but none have come close. Case in point I'm contemplating my next rifle being a Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather .243. They have it for $948 shipped to my ffl who charges $15 to handle it so total $963. I called a gun shop to see if they had any and they did but not in .243. I asked how much and they said $1199. Add tax and that's $1309 so $346 more. I work too hard for my money just spend it foolishly.

If you hadn't something wrong most shops around here make you go to a actual gun smith
if i buy locally i still have to ship the gun to the manufacture my self if something gors wrong with it. the shop here are 'do not return to store' shops.i believe i will use buds and not have to be treated like i am a bother at the local shop when i ask to buy something. thanks for the replies guys

No gun shop that I have ever done business with will warranty a problem with a new gun. It's all up to you to send back to factory. That being said if I buy new I buy from the place with the best price. We do have one thing going for us here in Chattanooga now though. We have a local dealer that will match Bud's prices most of the time. Matter of fact they beat Bud's on two new guns I bought last year.

I have delt with Bud since back in the 80's when I was in college at UK. I have purchased several guns from him and have always been satisfied. He gave me a price on a used gun one time only to find out later in the day that one of the other employees had sold it in store. He shipped me the same gun brand new in the box for the quoted price of the used one.

i bought a savage muzzleloader from them, they were great to deal with. The gun was as advertised, i would buy from them again with no worries.
