Is there any good reason why we can't use buckshot for predators besides it being illegal ? Hevi shot is making a killing off of me at $60 a box

There are some safety and poaching issues involving buckshot. It has been widely associated with illegal deer dogging in TN over the years. I would be surprised to see the regulation changed.
