Don't do anything. At least not yet. What you are seeing maybe very real. Your property may not hold older bucks during the summer. It may only hold does, fawns and yearling bucks. But that doesn't mean anything for the fall and hunting season. Bucks often spend their summer months in a bachelor group far from their normal fall range. Once the bachelor groups break up in early September, there's no telling who might show up on your hunting property. In addition, bucks greatly expand or even shift their range right around the rut. Bucks you've never seen before can suddenly show up on your place a week or two before breeding peaks.

What bucks use your property in the summer often has little to do with what bucks use your property during the hunting season.

I've a got a sizeable property (500 acres) that's fairly intensively managed, and you would think I would have no problem "holding" bucks on the property year-round. Yet of the bucks we will have to hunt during the hunting season, only a third will have used the property during the summer. The other two-thirds don't show up until after antler velvet shedding or around the rut.
 
nice to know bsk. this farm is a good farm. the farm next to it is about 4000 acers that is off limets for hunting
