buckhorn pounder

Have any of you guys used the buckhorn pounder I was at the range the other day and 2 old guys was showing it to me they told me you don't have to clean you gun after you shot it its made to shot on a dirty barrel is this true

If you'll look on this forum, there are already several threads regarding this powder, commonly referred to as BH209.

There may be some confusion to it's name:
It is actually BLACKhorn209, not "buck"horn.
But since you asked about a buckhorn "pounder", it's actually not available by the pound ---- comes in a 10-ounce canister.

Better beware what those 2 old guys are telling you. Next thing you know, they'll be taking you snipe hunting.

if you cant clean it within a few days, at least run 2 or 3 DRY patches to mop out the fouling. The fouling at times can be wet, and that wetness attracts more moisture and will rust the barrel. Dry patching cleans out A LOT of the soot BH209 leaves behind.
