Shot him at 7:34 am yesterday and man he ran farther than I would expect.
Geezer came out to help track this morning. We split up where I found the last blood and a while later he called me and had crashed through the thickest of the briars and made it down to the river where he found my deer right by the water.
Going with mudbone to cut the rack off and check the backstraps and see if they are still fresh- not taking any other meat, the shot went in high, but came out very low and clipped the gut. I don't want to cut it open but I'm guessing it was a lung, liver and gut shot. More pics later, here is one
