Sat on the ground this morning where I have been getting pics of a few decent bucks. I was looking at tndeer on my phone not paying attention at 8am I heard something and looked up in time to see the butt of one deer going into the woods and this one was right behind it and almost past my shooting lane. I made a noise with my mouth and he paused long enough for me to take the 30 yard shot with my xbow. I thought I heard him crash a few seconds after the shot but when I went to where he was standing I couldn't find blood or the arrow so I started down the trail they were on for 150 yards and thought I had missed him somehow but on my way back up the hill I took a different trail and found blood and found him a few yards later. The hit was good but maybe a tad high thru both lungs. One of my fletchings was in his lungs.
Washington county, 6pt, field dressed 125. First bow kill in probably 7 or 8 years. (Sorry for the sideways pics. I can't figure out how to get them to post normal from my iPhone.)

Nice buck . And one of my favorite parts of the state. I have a aunt close to limestone
I'm just 10 mins from limestone. 10 years ago there were no deer in this area but they are starting to populate pretty good.
