The day started off badly, i overslept and have been fighting a cold for three days but no way was i gonna miss the rifle opener. I arrived to my hunting spot and saw a buck chaseing a doe as i pulled up, but didnt have time to get my gun out. I settled into my blind looke at my phone, 7:33 sat there not seein much and a few minutes later saw a doe dart across the field and go into the woods and hot on her trail was a Nice buck by my standards. He wasnt running but was walking fairly fast as i tool drive with my 30-06 ruger. Good size 8pt. Great way to start the TN gun season!!
