Hunted one of my spots this morning for first time this year and right after day break I thought I heard a buck grunting but I thought to myself no way. Well then I seen a doe pop up on the ridge about 75 yards away then two bucks come up behind her an eight and a smaller 10. The eight horns the 10 in the side and runs him back down the ridge. Then a few seconds later comes back up and runs the doe right under my stand, couldn't get them to stop. While watching him dog the doe around the ridge I hear something back in front of me and there stands the 10 15 yards away watching them. I drew back on him but decided to pass. He looked to me to be a 2.5 yr old. Still a pretty awesome hunt even if it didn't end with a harvest. Also first time seeing some rut activity this early. I no it happens every year by seeing those early fawns born but just don't get to witness it much this early.
