I guess i'll ask,.. i know there has got to be many here with it on thier minds,... what does some of your long range weather models say for rain chances this month? Next 10 days does not look good for planting!! I'm seriously thinking about just discing and fertilizing this weekend,.. and wait and seed til next rain chance. Unless the rain on friday provides enough for good soil moisture.

I'm not doing anything with my plots now. No real rain in the 10-day models. That's the longest range any good models go.

I put mine out mid August have had 2 good soaking rains apprx 10 days each apart. I'm glad I didn't procrastinate into September.

Probably though, the turkeys have had a blast scratching out my tender growth :crazy:

I really don't put much faith in the 9th and 10th day forecast of a 10-day model. However, once inside 8 days, the GFS forecasts are pretty good.

we didn't plant due to the lack of soil moisture!
We will be waiting on rain!!
