bsk .. deer scent

ok this is a weird question but i know bsk is big on peeing in scrapes, due to him i have tried it and found i got good pics on cam from it. i am not a real believer in tinks,code blue or what have you.i do try them time to time mostly cause i like see how the deer react to different things in this case scents, last year i bought a device that's made to spray a mist of deer pee every few mins/hours. well if your own pee works in a scrape. whats your thoughts on using it in a device such as this ??
 
Honestly, I think the human male urine in a real or mock scrape is just one more piece of the puzzle to fooling a buck into using it. I really don't think human urine is actually "attractive" to deer. I have watched bucks and does react to fresh human urine many times, and outside of a scrape, their reaction is to sniff it and then ignore it.
 
I'm so glad I don't have to pee in bottles anymore!

Besides, the sound of pee hitting dry leaves from 15 feet up sounds a lot like deer running. During the rut, I've had deer come running right to the sound. For awhile I kept track of the number of deer I killed that were "called in" by peeing from my stand. I think it was 7, as best as I can remember.

lol that's funny and really cool I do the same but ive never killed a deer doing it that's one of my goals now to kill a deer ive "called in" by peeing.
 
Add one thing when letting it fly from the stand. Use your grunt call ....... not a lot just a few shallow grunts. No firm data but have had more then one come in to investigate.

That's an interesting idea Frank G. But can you imagine what someone would think if they witnessed that--a guy blowing on a grunt call while peeing out of a tree!

It's amazing how the rules have changed on the scent of human urine. I remember scolding my 10 year old son because he was peeing near my stand site. Countless times I have almost exploded trying to hold it like a school boy in lunch line till I could climb down and run from the stand. Now we pee in scrapes and call deer by peeing from the stand. Next thing you know chocolate will be a health food and good for losing weight. :/
 
One thing to keep in mind when trail camera monitoring a mock scrape you are peeing in - TURN THE CAMERA OFF BEFORE REFRESHING THE SCRAPE!! :)

You guys are cracking me up talking about "peeing" deer in!
 
I once peed on my last 3 fingers.after looking at all the charts and data I found that cold weather and coveralls make a difference when hunting.

Kinda like rubbing your belly and patting your head at the same time ;) .Impossible for some people.
 
When I was a kid . We was made to walk a mile from the stand if we had to pee. Once I was a adult I continued to due what I was taught. It's funny how sometimes what we think is right is wrong and wrong is right.i am going to try my own pee in the sprayer over hanging a mock scrape just to see what happens. I will update when I get the results.

What if said hunter has an enlarged prostate or "prostrate" when it's a man with cancer who's on the prayer list at church.

Would it sound something like?

.... long pause ... Grunt.... Ggggrrrrruuuuuuuuuunnnnt... Grnt.Grnt.Grnt...long pause...GRUNT!... Grnt.Grnt.Grnt...Grnt.Grnt

WHO STARTED THIS THREAD???? I have been cracking up reading the responses. Who �relieves or revels� themselves in the woods? Although we have one image. One thing to remember; with all the sent control out there. If you cough in your shorts a turkey will hear it at 50 yards and a deer will smell it at 75.
