How much faith do you put in those deer movement charts, like Realtrees or the ones you see in the back of all the hunting magazines?Going to Indiana in early November and just trying to be there at the best possible time.

Those are the same as the "solunar tables" used for fishing. They are based on moon conditions, especially when the moon is directly overhead or underfoot. Many years ago I tested this idea against observation data and found no correlation, but I really need to run that analysis again, as I haven't done so in years and I now have much more observation data than I did the firsat time.

But I'm quite suspect of the idea. Fish are much less complex animals that can be triggered to feed by more "instinctive" processes. In addition, fish are sensative to tides and gravitational pull, while little data exists supporting the idea that mammals are influenced by the gravitational pull of the moon.

do fish go nocturnal? I thought they had like an 8 sec memory...just see it as another difference and anytime I see a chart like that I have poor results. So I go at tried and true times based on area where I am hunting.
