Brush killing

What do you use to kill Honey locust and Osage orange .
I have looked at Pastureguard HL and Crossbow . Crossbow does not seem to want to kill Honey Locust
I need a cheap generic brush killer that does the job and actually kills unwanted trees.

Some are really big at 10 ft and most is from knee high up . Crossbow is killing Osage orange but slowly . Honey locust ( Thorn trees) it is not doing much to kill them .

I will check it out when I go to lowes and read to see if it target my types of trees.

I don't see honey locust ( thorn trees) or Osage Orange ( Hedge apples) on the list .
These are the two that I want to kill . I can bush hog and they pop right back thicker than ever.

Osage Orange is in the same family as mullberry

Tricloypr is recommended for killing honey locust and the Bayer brush killer is Tricloypr based.

Same active ingredient as Garlon 3a but 1/5 the concentration for the same $. Triclopyr concentrate usually runs ~$80/gallon

What is the smallest container of Garlon 3a you can buy and what does it cost? Can i waltz into nearly any local shop and buy it?

Cuz im not seeing anything smaller than a 2.5gal bottle for around $160 online

I have been looking at PastureGuard HL it is $136 a gallon I am wanting a cheap generic if I can fid it . Crossbow is around $115 for 2.5 gallons but weaker.
I need this in bulk as I have a lot of bushes to kill.

I think I've paid $80/gallon in gallon jugs before but can get it for &50/galling+shipping if I buy by the case 2, 2.5 gallon jugs. Aquatic label glyphosate is pretty good for back and squirt too. You need to talk to a herbicide distributor if you can use case quantities.

I don't think there's such a thing as generic pasturegard right now. It's good stuff though.

What is the brush growing in? Old pasture? CRP/native grass? Or wanting rid of invasive species?

Pastureguard has Tricloypr at 3 pounds per gallon

Crossbow has Tricloypr at 1 pound per gallon

I have also considered Pramitol and applying it to the root area. I have never done this one before .
Chemicals are so expensive and I just don't want to do a lot of work and throw money away.

That is why i suggested the Bayer. You can try it out for $20. If it works you know the higher % stuff will hammer it. I had a 15ftx50ft ivy and Virginia Creeper bed that i fought with glyphosate. It never did kill it all. Two applications of the Bayer and it all died. Never has come back. A couple holes (filled with it undiluted) in some stumps from trees i removed and not a single sucker has popped up.

For stuff like honey suckle i did have to cut them down and spray the fresh open cut. Its a bear to kill and keep it gone.
