Anybody ever make it. share a recipe. had some the other night at a get together and it was very good, but they won't tell the recipe.

I thought it was just everything you have left over from a BBQ in a tomato base. The best I ever had is from Doug Sauls in Nashville NC

I make it like vegetable beef soup and add a pound BBQ to it, pulled pork. It is amazing how that changes the flavor. It is one of my favorite soups, stews.

I think some will add chicken and pork or I guess how ever you want to do it. Make sure it is BBQ though....smoked.

This is the best recipe I have ever tasted. It is super easy and includes step by step directions. I use this website for everything.

i like the looks of that site. really easy to navigate and a smile archive. i just can't see putting a huge bottle of sweet bq sauce in a pot of stew. the recipe i saw on food net, the guy smoked chicken and and put the crunchy chicken skins in it.

Used this recipe as a starter today except I cut in half and used smoked pork shoulder instead of ground beef. Didn't use pinto beans, did add some tomato paste and only used a 1/4 bottle bbq sauce. It was a bit thin, more like soup so I thickened w/ a roux.

Really good.
