browning x bolt

I'm considering buying one of these. Anyone have an opinion, good or bad?

I like them. My only gripe is the cheap detachable mag that easily pops out with the slightest touch.

Had the choice of either. I went with the A-bolt.

Don't care at all for the X Bolt Wouldn't turn one down if they want to give me one LOL. Like the A-bolt much better.

I would go with an a-bolt. I think the x-bolt is a cheaper gun to make even though Browning would have you think it's a better gun for the same or about the same money.

This is similar to the Ruger 77 Hawkeye (Ruger's replacement for the Ruger 77 Mark II). The finish on the Hawkeye looks cheap to me and I bet isn't as durable as the standard blue finish on the Ruger Mark II's. I'm not knocking either the x-bolt or 77 Hawkeye just stating my observations/opinions.

I love Rugers and Brownings.
