After the Leupold rollout, I was afraid to try a Browning. Among similar cams in that price range, the Covert brand seems to be the best bet.

Too many new brand entries have had major problems, at least initially.
 
The mid-range Browning (Recon Force), which is a red IR flash, seems to have better reviews than the Browning Spec Ops. I researched the 2013 Spec Ops a few weeks ago because I saw it on sale for an attractive price, but I read too much negative feedback about it on chasingame.com and other sites.

I did similarly with the Leupold line-up. I was quite excited at the thought of a "Leupold" trail cam. Looks like Leupold should stick to rifle scopes and Browning to guns.
