my brother is coming down this week end . and was wanting to hunt with slugs but he dosent have a shot gun , i was thinking of letting him use my browning but not sure how it would shoot slugs . it has a mod barrel . y'all think it would do ok ??

yep, need to shoot it a time or 2 & see how it slings them, stay with a foster style for best results probly

foster style ? i am not sure what that means . i know sabot slugs are for rifled barrels . so is a foster style a "rifle slug " ?? sorry for the dumb question

yes ,no sabots in a slick barrel as they wont pattern very well most of the time

Brenneke's will probably be your best choice of the slugs you will find around town. Your 2nd best choice would be a rifled slug followed by a foster. My personal favorites are Fiocchi's but you won't find those around town.

I know it may not be an option for you - but always heard that Imp Cyl is a better slug barrel
