Anybody here have any experance with these,my son's looking at one in 270. Seems like they would have alot of recoil.

I fired one of my friend's in .308 when I was a freshman in high school back in 1984. The BLR in .308 was milder than my bolt action remington model 7 in .243. I also liked the detachable magazine in a lever-action. His was super accurate we made first shot hits on standing ears of corn at two football field distances!

I had one in 308 for a good while back in the 90's. Great shooting rifle.
