Hey anyone have any experience with them in .270 , 7mag ,or .270 WSM ? Accurate ? Recoil ? Hunting in the real cold with them ? Reloading for them ?

I've never owned or even shot a BAR that I can recall but I would say that as a reloader, I wouldn't want ANY semi auto. Recovering your brass is what reloading is all about. Semi autos sling them all over creation. Why bother with all that extra work and inevitable brass loss?

Recoil will definitely be less with a semi auto. My cousins Remington 742 in 30-06 kicks no more than my Remington 700 in 25-06.
 
I shot a BAR 270 plenty and it grouped around 2 inches with Remington Cor-Lokts so plenty good enough for hunting woods and small fields. The recoil wasn't bad at all and it functioned great with no jams or anything. I never tried reloading for it so I can't comment on that. As far as hunting in cold weather I don't know of any issues unless you really pour the wet lube to it but that goes for any kind of semi-auto gun.
 
I had one in 300 win mag. Recoil was nothing. It shot pretty well with factory ammo. As for the extreme cold, make sure the bolt is fully seated. I was hunting in about 15 degree weather and just loaded it and let the bolt slam shut the way I always did. I had an opportunity at a doe that morning and the gun went click. Looked at the gun and the bolt did not slam all the way home. I guess I am pretty lucky that the bolt was not close enough to hit the primer.
