He's got this early season bowhunting thing figured out. Hunted a new to him spot at LBL tonight and this was the end result. I'm tickled to death for him. Just wish right side woulda matched the left.

What was the deer doing? Coming to a major food source? Anything in particular, or just walking through the woods?

Thanks everybody! It was late last night when we sent pics so didn't get the best one. My buddy actually scored on a smaller 8pt the same evening. We weighed him at 260lb and rough scored him 142-145". Awesome day of hunting and one I'll never forget!

Doubt he will check it again Andy. To the best of my understanding he just identified a saddle a couple hundred yards off of a cut corn field and found a little sign on one end of it so that's where he parked himself for the evening. He was the third deer that showed up. He was actually trying to get drawn on a coyote when he spotted the buck easing his way. 20 yard shot and the deer didn't go 50 yards and piled up.

It don't get much better than that, he earned that buck! Thanks for taking the time to post this as I am sure others will enjoy reading it as much as I did.
