RCBS 270 dies.

Was going to resize some hulls forms friend. I think the threads backed off & allowed it to bend.

Anyway, what exactly is this part called? I can't find it on midway or RCBS site.

That's where I'm getting confused.. I saw that on on RCBS, but it doesn't look the same ? That was is threaded on the top.. Mine has less threads and is threaded on the bottom ?

See how different it looks ?

I'll check the die for the year, when I get home...

I Found a RCBS parts book online. Seems I have the "Reloader Special" die, and I need a new "expander-decapping unit".. Its different than my other dies, in that it uses a collet to hold the decapper in, instead of threaded pin..

Pack it up and ship to RCBS, they will replace almost for sure no charge.

How did you bend it, that is tool steel.

good question.. I think the threads must have backed off & bent when I was resizing a hull.. The rod pulled out in the hull & I had to cut the hull in 1/2 to get it out..

I called RCBS yesterday, and they don't make that part anymore, but they do have a "conversion" set that they are sending me free of charge..

RCBS customer service is A++++
