My best friend is always talking about some brisket he got at some bbq joint around town.
He is dying for me to cook one. For whatever reason he thinks I am a good cook. LOL

I do not have a smoker or anything like that.

Is it possible to cook a good brisket in the oven?
Never looked at it or even thought about cooking one.

Kroger usually has brisket.

Already cooked, thin sliced and blackened pepper. Vacuum wrapped.

Going on memory place in oven type dish, fat side up. Add about a cup of water.

Set oven on 200. Remember that you are just getting her warm enough to eat.

Last one I did was rather tasty.

My wife cooks one each Christmas and it turns out wonderfully. She does it in the oven. No idea as I can't boil water, but I can ask her if you want.

Do you have a sous vide machine? If so, it's the best route for you. 135 degrees for 24 hours, then into the oven for 3 hours at 225ish, uncovered. That will give you the crisp of a brisket. If you had a smoker I would still sous vide it but finish on the smoker for 3 hours at 225...which would arguably be some of the best brisket you've ever eaten.

you can cook 1 on your grill, pretty easy to do, it takes time to make it tender, cook a flat to start as it wont take as long, have to wrap around 160 and take it to about 204

Brisket is my nemesis. Been trying to perfect since I lived in Texas. Cooking brisket in TX is a state pastime. A right of passage.
Glad I perfected my salsa and margarita recipes though.
