The Smoky Mountain Archers in partnership with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is holding their annual Bowhunter "Sight-In" weekend this Saturday from 10 until 5 and this Sunday from noon until 5.
This is the one weekend a year when we open our club and all it's facilities to the public at large. We have a 20 yard indoor range, field course and 3d targets, as well as broadhead targets for anyone to shoot. We also have a complete pro shop with presses, chronographs, paper tuners etc. that will be available for your use. In addition some of our members are experienced bow mechanics and they will be available to assist anyone that might need some last minute adjustments, or maybe you need a new bow set up, we can help with that.
The Smoky Mountain Archers are located on the grounds of the John Sevier Hunter Education Center, on Rifle Range road in Knoxville, TN. For directions consult their website, or you can contact me by PM.
This is a FREE event for anyone that possesses a current Tennessee hunting license. All you do is come through the gate and stop at the building adjacent to the gate. Go in and show your license to the ranger on duty, and you're good to go. If you don't have a hunting license, but would like to come out, there's a nominal fee that the rangers collect upon entry.
Maybe you are all set up and good to go next Saturday for the big day, but maybe you've heard of us, and are curious about Smoky Mountain Archer's and our club, this is a good opportunity to come on out, and we'll be happy to show you what we are all about. We have members that participate in the many different archery disciplines.
Oh, and any of you "traditional" shooters? You are most welcome too! We have some members that can help you too, if you need it.
