Bow Shopping: Little Help Please

All,

Well, after 10 years with my Hoyt I have decided to upgrade. I am blown away by all of the bows on the market. I'd like to narrow the list down a little bit before I get out there and start trying them out. Would love to hear your input/feedback on bows I should consider. I am not sold on buying new, would consider slightly used if I find a deal. I am wide open.

They only make 1 kind of bow and thats a MATHEWS lol,everyone is differant its all in you like and what feels and shoots good for you.There are plenty of bows out these days to pick from thats for sure.

Yep, I plan on trying a few out, was hoping to narrow the list down a little. Have heard some good things about the new Mathews bow. Anybody shoot a G5 Prime?

Shoot the martins , I just bought a Martin cougar fc and love it

Martins or PSE. Everyone is on the Mathews hype but in my opinion Martin and PSE put out a bow that is just as good for hundreds less. I own a PSE bowmadness and I love it. I upgraded from a Bear.

I've shot them all and for me and many I've guided through the process the x-force line of pse has been the answer. I shot Hoyt's when target shooting and they are also great.

Not trying to sound pretentious, but the fact is that bows are like tennis shoes....the same bow will fit and feel differently to everyone�don't narrow anything down, shoot them all if that is what it takes! :) The best advice you will get is to just get your hands on as many different bows as possible and shoot as much as you need to shoot and pick the one that picks you. Forget the brand names and what others shoot�your the one that has to shoot it...not them. Archers are a fickle bunch and most think that what they shoot is what everyone else should shoot because that is what they have the most confidence in. Honestly though....it is getting to a point where the gap in technology between manufacturers is getting smaller and smaller�they all basically feel the same with minor differences that will be noticed from archer to archer. The biggest differences now are in the warranties and the customer service....and to a degree the price tag in certain situations, but often that is for a reason. Mathews, Hoyt, Elite, PSE, G5, Bowtech and Strother are all good choices just find the one for you.

PSE sinister is a sweet little bow! It's so small it feels like a youth bow, but it IBO's 327 ft/sec, has a 28" axel to axel, and 7.25 brace height. Speed, light weight/small, but forgiving.. I shot it today and it's super smooth! Only thing some may not like is valley is a little short so if your a creamer it may take off on ya.. I'm lookin seriously into getting one for myself...

I've shot,looked at and owned a many different brands of bows and will have to say that Mathews is actually the less expensive of the top end bows.

Shoot as many bows as you can get your hands on. Then narrow it down from there. And so on and so fourth til you find the right bow.
