Was out of Beaufort SC yesterday looking for a redfish (a little early in the season, but)when we saw them heading down the bank about 300 yards away. They run in huge schools this time of year. We estimated about 100 fish per school in three schools, easy! The Capt. got us into less than two feet of water, but these three schools came by about 130 feet away and we could not touch them with spinning or flyrods! I truly was about to go over and wade but I had one pair of shoes for a long ride back. It was so cool to see that, but so frustrating! Tide preceeded to come in and we lost them!
Going back in May for some more reds and maybe Cobia! I was with Capt. Rick Percy out of Beaufort, SC. A great guy!
