i think the flat end requires a bow to be built to tighter specs & will allow the string to not bind in the nock to increase accuracy.my barnett calls for halfmoon & i would be afraid to shoot a flat in it as it might ride over/under & cause a dry fire

there is a formula you can use to calculate your crossbows kinetic energy
velocity x velocity x arrow weight=
divided by 450.340=
i shoot a 497 grain arrow @261 fps and i get 75.2 pounds of energy.when i shoot carbon i get lower energy numbers.so if youve ever wondered how much energy your shootin there is the equasion to let ya know.and i have also found when i use my string cocker it tightens my groups up quite a bit.i started shootin last night out to 40 yards and with a rope cocker @ 40 yards i can wrap my fingers around 3 bolts.cocking by hand i cant.what a differance a rope cocker makes.
