Has anyone hunted any of the Bogota pools lately??

I have quit putting in for any of the Bogota hunts. It is just too hard to hide and ducks are spoty at best unless hunt in January and then you run the risk of Ice and the hole frozen solid. We only put in for the Gooch Unit E draw pool hunts any more.

Anyone hunted Bogota recently? Headed there tuesday and wondering what to expect. Friends killed around Dyersburg this
week end on the south wind like a reverse migration.

friend hunted this wk end. 5. that's 2 days. with Mississippi still coming up, scattered bad. still, that's where the birds will be, along the big water.

Thanks, I had hoped it improved but like everywhere else the conditions have made it difficult to get on birds .

I have Bogota Pool 7 this weekend . Any update on duck movement in that area this week will be appreciated.

Not Bagota but Thorny Cypress. Hunted Friday, Saturday & Sunday and did fair. Friday was rainy, windy and in the low 40s. My son & I killed limits (all drakes-mallards, pintails & teal). Saturday was entirely different. Clear, hardly any wind early but picked up in afternoon and temps near 60 in the afternoon. Killed a pair of greenheads. Sunday was partly cloudy, warmish (65 in the afternoon) and good south wind. Killed a pair of mallards and drake pintail. Saw big bunches of pintails Sunday morning up high and traveling north. There was shooting all around us off in the distance all three days in different directions.
Had a good time but we did have a incident Saturday that kinda put a damper on the hunt. A car drove down the bordering state road and dumped a magazine out of most likely a AR into the field we were in. No rounds came close to us but it was spooky to say the least. We reported it to the sheriff and a couple of cars showed up in about 5 minutes but the perps were long gone by then.

We were in pool 5. Hwy 104 runs along the south end.

No ducks. We've got it again this weekend and next weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Not one duck died? I killed 3 over flooded cotton Friday
