Just spent several days in the Dyersburg area including the Tuesday hunt on Bogata. There are very few ducks now in the area. The Bogata hunt was a bust as we ran ducks out going in that never returned. That seems to have become the pattern there now as the mostly local ducks feed there at night and leave for safe ground during the day. We killed two mallards with five hunters and didn't see more than a dozen birds. The habitat conditions are very good with plenty of new water and food just all the ducks have blown back north with the south winds and warm temps. Not looking good for the end of the season again. The area was flown on monday and the overall count was down over 50% of the late Dec count.
