Had a chance to meet Bobby yesterday and have dinner with him. I contacted him because I wanted a copy of his new book, Quest for Phantoms of the Forest.
I have read his first book several times, but Quest may be one of the best books I have found anywhere with an abundance of information on bowhunting white tails. Bobby was super nice and humble as he could be.
I highly recommend the book .

I mert Bobby a couple generations ago. Glad to hear he hasn't changed. Heard he was writing some for NAW again. Just can't see how he can afford to.

Isn't it true that several of his big bucks were killed on public land in Tennessee. On top of that, I think most were from east Tennessee if I remember correctly.

One of these days, I'm going to have to read his books. Anyone who can kill old bucks like he has in TN's steep terrain must know a thing or two. I'm always all ears (our eyes) for that kind of information.

This is a nice little quote from Bobbys book. He goes into great detail on how to identify funnels, which funnels to hunt at certain times, how to interpret deer sign ( scrapes n rubs)
how to hunt the rut, and many many more topics.

The book is over 300 pages and is loaded with priceless information to any whitetail hunter.

I promise he is not paying me a commission, I am just very intrigued with his knowledge of the deer woods.
And many of his mature bucks were taken on public land in Tennessee such as Mountain Mike, Fate, and Rattlesnake just to name a few.

I lived literally five miles from him growing up, he is a good hunter no doubt and protects his QDM managed land well.
