Boat Engine Help Needed

Anyone on here a boat mechanic? I am in need of a carburator and can not find it anywhere. I have a 1983 25 hp Mercury and one of the ears on the carb has broken off. Tried to rig it with JB Weld but it didn't hold. The carb is a tillotson BC1C. I have searched every web site I can find including Ebay for about a month with no luck. Any help locating another one would be wonderful

Have you tried asking about the motor and carb on iboats ?

I will try and take a picture of it today but it has pretty much cracked in half where it mounts to the engine.

I will try iboats, someone else suggested a website called tinboats.

That 83 engine should be common enough still that you can find a carb. What is the serial on that boat? Check Maxrules.com Or marinepartsexpress.com

one thing i have noticed though, It is WAY, and i mean WAY easier to find parts for a 1950's johnson than a 1970's-80's mercury... That's why I like my evinrude / johnson. seems like the parts are more readily available.
