Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy a boat cover?
I want one that will protect the boat but, of course, I want to spend as little as possible. ;)

Thanks.

Hmmm, didn't think about a tarp.
I will see if they got one big enough.

I would have to drive to the Paris Wal-Mart to even see a cover. The ones around here keep very very little boating stuff.

Read in a mag about taking a golf ball and putting it inside the tarp... Then hooking a bungee cord around it. I think it was on Bassmaster... Maye last months magazine? I'm in SC and can't look for the magazine right now.

Had a fancy expensive custom boat cover that didn't fit quite right and pooled water in 2 spots. Lasted 14 months.

One that lasted the longest was a tarp with the lamination on one side. (brown/Silver) Bunjee cords and the kicker.....I made a ridge pole out of pvc that I put over the seat pedestals. That allowed ALL the water to run off. Worked great. Think I had $30 in the whole set up.

I bought a silver tarp online for about $20. 10 x 20 in size and it fits my 1648 boat perfectly. Bungee cords from Walmart. PVC from home depot to build a ridge so water will run off. I'll see if I can find a link to the tarp website

As others have stated buy a tarp. I have went through two boat covers that pooled water and bought a tarp and my boat has stayed nice and dry. I have less than 5 dollars in the rig.
