When do bluegill and shell cracker go on bed for chickamauga lake?

Should be coming soon. I'm gonna scan for beds this weekend and see if I can find any. I think in about a week you should start hearing about them being caught. Full moon is May 14. So it's time for them to start trickling in

Ive always earmarked 3 days before the full moon in May as the best time. Looks like this year the full moon in May is the 16th.

It is the 16. Was looking at it a week or so ago. Yea they usually start trickling in a week before the moon. But gets hot those 2-3 days around it

My buddy and I were talking about this at work last night. He had pics on his phone from last yr on May 7 with multiple 13 inch shell crackers from the Chick. We were thinking it should be getting close for sure.

I went on May 8 last year. A cold front had pushed in that day. We didn't catch much but my friends had smashed em a few days before. It should be close.
