River Bottom
Saw some on a land this morning while sneaking up on some turkeys. First I have ever seen here. Those drakes are pretty

Yep, first time I have ever seen Amy in person. Very pretty. wish that they would come around during the season

We kill them during the early Season and have killed a few at the start of Regular season with groups of Greenwing teal. But they don't get there breeding colors until spring.

Been on the water around knoxville quite a bit for my job. I have saw several blue wings in the past two weeks, but more impressive is the number of buffleheads on the river!! Never saw so many within site of Neyland stadium this late!! Those little drake butterballs are really dressed up for the ladies!!!

I have seen a few small bunches around while hunting turkey this spring to. I haven't been out on the river yet but normally we jump a lot of them.

The river bottom I hunt in is FULL of them hundreds! I never noticed them before, always alot of woodies but never teal

Lol yea, I have heard people say that about ducks. Because they are the most colorful now and more seem to pass through in the spring more than winter.

You can shoot a variety of fully plumaged male ducks in Tennessee. We're fortunate in that regard. Seriously, hunt on rivers and kill just about any diver you want. Hunt in sloughs and kill just about any kind of puddler you want.

Blue wing teal are the lone exception. They just don't stay here when they the best looking.
