So I live where I see 50 deer a day or more and there's a doe I see every day that has a blue tint to her coat, have y'all seen one like this? It's pretty noticeable.
was told that 75-80 years ago down here in southern Mississippi they brought some deer in from Wisconsin because there were hardly any deer left and they called them blue deer, because they would look blue-ish at times but they were big deer compared to the ones that were there.
I'm not even sure the story is true but you saying that reminded me of the story
My wife's grandfather talked about blue deer at their place in Arkansas in the Ozarks. He also said they were bigger than our Tennessee whitetails. I saw deer at and around their place and never noticed them to be any different.
There was a herd in some property we leased years ago in Franklin county, They had a dark stripe down their backs and greyish coats. Haven't seen that since. Could be considered blueish
