Go out in the daylight and find some that have no decoys. You can hop them all you want. You might find some that are fully set up someone is not hunting a week day. But it will be very few. There is usually a few that never get brushed or hunted.

Hopped them when I was younger more than recent years. But people these days are hard to read when it comes to what they will do. A lot of people seem to think they are above the law and have full rights no matter when they show up to the blinds.

I have hopped blinds without trouble. I always welcome the "owner" to join me if they are running a bit late. I don't want to be antagonist because "sorry it is mine today"

My son ran up on 31 at Gooch one morning and nobody was in it.
That is UNHEARD of.
They jumped in and started hunting.
Sure enough the guy that owned the blind came up about 30 minutes after shooting time and asked if they cared if he just dropped off some drinks and stuff he was bringing.
Said he had to work the night before and the guy that was supposed to be there that morning overslept.
My son said no we don't care and we will get out of your way.
Guy was like no I ain't gonna kick ya'll out.
My son insisted he stay. Told the guy that ain't how I was brought up.

Couple weeks later they were in 30 and, of course, 31 was hammering.
Guy comes over, same guy as before, and told them to give them 15 minutes to finish eating breakfast and then come on over and get their limits, as they were already done for the day.

Doing it right goes a long way sometimes.

We've pulled up on our private blind up on the lake and had someone in it when we got there. No biggie, 2 of us, 2 of them, we just hunted together. Got to hear some new stories since there weren't many birds flying.

This is a prime example of how a person gains more opportunities to hunt. You meet new people, respect others and doors will open. We don't need a bureaucratic agency to do what we can do better.
