Running late this afternoon - finally got settled in about 2:40 - this property has horses on it so of course they followed me to the tree. I thought thats not gonna be good. They finally wandered off little after 3. couple squirells milling around then i hear that familiar trot thru the woods here comes a doe up the draw, she suddenly stops and i hear something coming up behind her & see antlers ( mostly the brow tines). he clears some brush i grunt at him & the 338 federal put him down in his tracks was 3:58pm. 8 point with some really cool brow tines. Its been 4 years since i pulled the trigger on a buck and to say i am elated is an understatement.
