Went to my first place this morning and there was already someone there,so I went to my second place,it was still a half hour to daylight so I waited and listened, heard a gobble way off in the distant,I walked on down the ridge when it got light.Set down on a fallen tree and listened for a while but never heard a peep so I decided to go to a third place.I walked down the ridge and got to the gate to cross and was surprised to see a huge tree had fallen across the gate.I have a tree stand next to the gate and was happy to see it missed my stand.Headed on down the ridge to listen and send out a few lite yelps but no gobbles càme.I saw a bunch of gobblers at this spot back in deer season but not much turkey sign here now.On my way home I wanted to stop at one more place before I called it quits for the morning.Walked a short ways and sent out some lite yelps and it was about 15 minutes I heard a hen softly cluck 3 times . Wasn't long till this gobbler showed up!He weighed 22 lbs and had a 9 inch beard and a thin 7 inch beard, spurs was a little shy of a inch!
