blazer vanes question?

My question is the comparison between regular blazer vanes and the quickspin blazer vanes? Is there that big of a difference since the vanes are so small. I really like the regular blazer vanes and have never tried the quickspin vanes. If there is an advantage, I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to "improve". Thanks for any feedback.......

I've never had a problem shooting them out of my WB. I have good groups at all ranges.

I'm actually getting new ones put on now because I've cut the old ones with my other arrows. I love em

They don't work very well when shot thru a biscuit. I found out last year, had to get all my arrows refletched...

Why?

I shoot blazers with a whisker biscuit, haven't had any problems what so ever. Are you putting the odd fletching up? I saw a couple people shooting with the odd fletching down, seems to me that would mess your fletching up. The black fibers are for support(IMO) and shouldn't be shot through(odd vane down).

I know what they are "Quick-Spin" Blazer vanes. I was wondering what problems you had out them so maybe I wouldn't have the same problems. Thanks for the information.

In my setup 2 or 3 shots would group tight and then one would fly erratic. After I got rid of the quick spin fletch my problem went away. It could have been because the WB was brand new. I'm not sure- when I ordered the arrows I didn't realize they came with those fletchings.

Very good information, glad to know about it ahead of time. Hopefully this will help someone else out also. Thanks again.

IMO the quickspins shoot as well as the blazers on a properly tuned bow. No better no worse, they do not do well out of a WB.

I know for a fact that down range the QS are a lot louder than the blazers. Ive sat below the hill we shoot from 20 yards down range and listed to them. I dont knwo if it would make a deer jump the string less but I wasnt going to risk it.

I shot blazers on Maxima arrows for the past 3 or 4 years. This year I mixed it up and went with the new fusion shield cut vanes (Ive had good luck with that cut in 3d's) on FMJ's.

The problem I had was they made a hissing sound going by. I shot a group with the quick spins and another with the regular blazers. I had a friend stand behind the corner of my house as I shot. There was much more of a hiss going by as opposed to the regular blazers. I checked myself as he shot and it was indeed true. Just my experience though.

Deer react to the sound of the bow going off . I shoot feathers and they make noise downrange too . I kill plenty of deer with them as do many other bowhunters.

I differ from others where I've used blazer vanes for years and had no problem with them shooting through a whisker biscuit. The quick spin vanes work well but prefer the plain blazers better. To me there is not that much difference. JMO...

He is actually referring to the brand Quik Spin. Not the Blazer Vanes, I think. The quik Spin brand has either "ribbed" vanes or a black tab on the upper portion of the vane to increase spin speed.

Blazers made by Bohning work real good thru WB but I can see how the quickspins by NAP might not work as well because of the tab at back however they a vane called the twister that should work just fine.
